1957
The Department of Chemical Engineering was founded by Prof. Turgut Noyan as part of the School of Engineering at Robert College.
1961
The first Bachelor of Science (BSc) degrees in Chemical Engineering were awarded.
1962
The first Master of Science (MSc) degrees in Chemical Engineering were awarded.
1971
The higher education division of Robert College was transferred to the Turkish State, and Boğaziçi University attained its current status as one of the leading universities in Türkiye.
1972–2009
A total of 32 PhD, 316 MSc, and 1,371 BSc degrees were awarded.
1983
The Department moved from the Engineering Building on the South Campus to the Square Block on the North Campus, gaining access to expanded laboratory and office facilities.
The Department has been providing world-class education in chemical engineering for over half a century and continues to do so today.
