All Invited to SEMINAR ChE 465: OPERATIONAL&ENVIRONMENTAL SAFETY OF CHEMICAL PLANTS Monday, 29 April 2019 13:00 – 15:00, KB 428 Speakers Şener Aral Risk Factors in Industrial Plants: i)Earthquake, Storm, Fire and Explosion ii)Introduction to HAZOP Aydıncan Aral (ChE 1999) Blowdown and FEHA analysis for pressurized vessels containing hydrocarbons   Short Biography Şener Aral - University of Michigan, MS in ChE, 1957 - Process engineer, in Mobil Oil's refinery in NY, USA, 2 years - Process engineer, engineering section head, operation section head and deputy manager in TPAO's Batman refinery, 4 years - Head of the Engineering Dept in PETKİM, during the construction of Yarımca complex , also responsible for the license and engineering contracts, 4 years - General Manager of Besin-Mısır A.S. (Affiliate of Corn Products Co) active in the production of starch and glucose, 4 years - General Manager and shareholder of Boral Engineering Inc. More than 300 major and mid-size projects within the size range of 2000 to 300 000 man-hours, were completed since 1972 - Part time faulty in BÜ for the course titled 'Plant design and economics’, 1972 to 1975 Aydıncan Aral - Boğaziçi University, BS in ChE, 1999 - University of South Florida, MS in ChE, 2001 - İstanbul Technical University, PhD in ChE, 2014 - Worked as a Process Engineer in private sectors 2004 – 2010 (Petrochemical, Metallurgical, Power) - Since 2013, has been working in ENKA, mainly focusing on Power Sector, Head of Process department for the last 5 years. Executing EPC projects as a team.
